How using twitter generated two new customers

We were in the process of updating our email broadcast tool.  During this process we were adding the "Cloud" as an option for those that want to leverage the Cloud computing (pay as you use instead of pay for services for "always on" regardless if you use it).

We tweeted three times about the experience and that we were looking for people that were interested.    We had one DM (direct message from a twitter user) and one email that said they were interested.   

One reference was from a Technical Community we participate in.  The other reference was from a previous employee who follows us on twitter.

I'm a firm believer that there is more value through known connections than there are from new connections that we have no credibility with.
